I feel the same way. The Tea Retreats do seem to get better and better. I really enjoy our conversations. It is always a challenge to be your true self, around others. Especially when your just meeting someone new, so the mask goes on, then comes off... then on.... then off.... then on! As we all have become more aware of this and more comfortable with ourselves.... amazing, we have a good time! Of course the great tea doesn't hurt either. LOL

Greetings Jess,

Great write-up on the Tea Retreat - you captured it well. From my point of view, it seems like they just continue to get better and better. This Retreat was particularly good for me in that the particpants really were opening themselves up to others. They were sharing their personal experiences and lives at a very deep level. It was just so refreshing to have people be themselves and not hide behind their egos and fears. I really am looking forward to our next gathering.

Hope all is well.

I'm happy you started this blog, Li, and I'm sorry I missed the tea retreat, even so, there was a good reason for it. I heard about your Tea ID's from my teacher, Master Zhi Yuan: brilliant! I will ask Master about the difference between Tao and Karma.

Nice write-up about the Tea Retreat Jess! It got me to thinking about the progression of tea. Starting with Lipton, then some celestial seasoning, the the Republic of Tea, then some loose tea from the co-op or whole foods, then maybe going to some tea shops in Sanfran to buy some fancy expensive stuff. But once you've had this Tea, nothing else will do! We are spoiled. I too have been learning a lot from the Tao De Jing lecture's. My head is going round and round with the Tao versus Karma. On another note, I wonder what the Yixing tea pot show will be like at the World Expo. I'm sure they will have a really cool showing of teapots.
Cheers! See you soon-
